Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
You will journey into the middle Atlas after breakfast at the hotel, past Azrou and the “Moroccan Switzerland” of Ifrane. At the cedar woodland, you will stop. You will have lunch at our next stop, which is Midelt. After that, we will continue driving while traversing the hight Atlas (1907m) and taking in the panoramic vistas. You will have to pause for a panoramic view of the Aoufous palmeraie along Ziz valley before continuing your drive to Erfoud. You will also traverse Ziz Gorge close to Errachidia. Arriving in the fossil and geology-rich city of Erfoud. Merzouga dunes followed. Dinner and a hotel stay the following day.
Day 2 : Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert – Camel Ride & Night in Desert
After breakfast, we travel to Khamlia, the birthplace of Gnawa music, where we tour the sand dunes and stop for tea with berber nomads who live in tents. We also eat a berber pizza for lunch, which gives us a taste of their way of life. Then, in order to witness the sunset, we ride our camels into the midst of the sand dunes. When you get at the camp, have a mint tea and the magnificent Saharan sunset before being shown to your lovely tents. Following dinner, you can take in a musical performance by Berber actors while sitting around a fire and admiring the desert night sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani Market – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Early morning wake-up call from your camel guide (optional) to catch the sunrise, followed by breakfast and a hot wash. Then, as we drive to Rissani, you will have the chance to explore the Souk (local market) and observe the Fondouks, where donkeys congregate. As we continue on our journey to Tinghir, we pass Erfoud, also known as “the capital of marble fossil.” You will eat lunch at our next destination, which is either Tinjdad or Tinghir. Once we arrive at the Toudra Gorges, we will continue along the riverside road so that you can see the tall rock walls (up to 300 meters). After that, we travel to Dades Valley, where you can observe the rock formations that resemble “human bodies, monkey digits.”. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas – Marrakech
You will pass via Skoura and Rose Valley on your way to Marrakech today. While driving, we will stop to take in the scenery of the Valley of the Roses, the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs, and Skoura. When we get at Ouarzazate, you may choose to take a break to visit the Kasbah of Taourirte, which was constructed by the Glaoui dynasty. Following a lunch break, we go to the village of Ait Ben Haddou where we explore the genuine Kasbah. Later, when you are being driven over the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260 m), you will have the chance to stop and take pictures while taking in the scenery of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber towns. When you get to Marrakech, and transfert you to your accommodation. Finalize our 4-day tour from fes to marrakech
